H M·A·C Cosmetics ανέλαβε και φέτος την επαγγελματική επιμέλεια του μακιγιάζ στο “Hautes Grecians 2022”, έναν από τους κορυφαίους πλέον θεσμούς της Ελληνικής Υψηλής Ραπτικής.
Πιο συγκεκριμένα, την Τετάρτη 1 Ιούνιου 2022, περισσότεροι από 900 καλεσμένοι, παρευρέθηκαν στην Πέτρινη Αποθήκη του ΟΛΠ, οπού έχοντας ως φυσικό σκηνικό το ηλιοβασίλεμα και τη θάλασσα του Πειραιά, παρακολούθησαν τις δημιουργίες των: Sotiris Georgiou, Ελένης Καββάδα - 240791ek, Deux Hommes, Atelier Loukia καθώς και ένα ξεχωριστό tribute στη μνήμη της Σοφίας Κοκοσαλάκη.
H M·A·C Cosmetics, ως το κορυφαίο make up authority και άρρηκτα συνδεδεμένο με το backstage των μεγαλύτερων fashion weeks ήδη από τη δεκαετία των ‘80’s, συμμετείχε ενεργά στο “Hautes Grecians” δημιουργώντας τα looks, έχοντας μια ομάδα 20 επαγγελματιών make-up artists οι οποίοι εργάστηκαν στο backstage για το μακιγιαζ 80 μοντέλων.

Sotiris Georgiou is one of the most unconventional and creative Greek designers, due to his lack of hesitation in experimenting with forms, colors, and materials in a bold fashion. On the lustrous runway of the 2022 edition of Hautes Grecians, the roaring ‘80s and the iconic ‘90s will meet the infinite potential of draping, crossing the boundaries between legendary subcultures and arriving at a modern state of grace that promotes social diversity and inclusivity. Hyperbole, audacity, concealed sensuality, vitality, purity, physicality, hedonism. All these variegated elements are strongly reflected in handmade embroidery, vivid colors, as well as in bodacious fabrics, and sometimes in more Doric shapes brought together with a panoply of styles ranging from simplistic to intricate in order to capture the visual essence of characters that touch on the past while simultaneously gazing at the future.
Unexpected silhouettes, handmade details, and inventive use of raw materials. Eleni Kavvada’s designs are so bold and eccentric that they magnetise your attention. Through the brand 240791ek, she experiments with form either to express her own personal concerns and inspirations or to give a new form and identity to second-hand fabrics and preloved pieces, broadening, in both cases, the aesthetic horizons of Greek fashion. The collection she will present at HG22 will be entitled Resurrection.It is dedicated to a person close to the designer who fell ill and recently passed away and this loss is narrated through imagery. The show is divided into three parts. It begins with the darkest, dystopian part, which then gives way to light in order to reach the final stage of resurrection. A multitude of volumes, embroidered details, plenty of 3D, bold shapes, and unexpected materials that complement the fabrics will dominate the runway, with the color palette varying from total black looks to white and off-white, ending in an explosion of pink and red. Resurrection.
The two gentlemen of Greek fashion, Grigoris Triantafyllou and Dimitris Alexakis, will present on the illustrious HG22 runway the quintessential ‘Deux Hommes’ woman. A deeply romantic woman who exudes confidence. The sensual exoticism and bohemian Mediterranean summers, the Italian Alta Moda and the French haute couture of the ‘70s blended with the charmingly matching colors of the flowers and all the shades of the endless blue - all amalgamated on the runway of Hautes Grecians, in a remix of cherished memories of a good life tailor-made for the present.
With a career spanning more than 40 years, the name Loukia has become synonymous with Haute Couture, but also with femininity, quality and luxury. She may opt for delicate and flowing fabrics but never dare her romantic. She treats her designs with a bohemian and revolutionary approach and does not hesitate to decisively cut the most delicate pieces of fabric and fuse them together, experimenting with patchwork. On the runway of HG22, however, a surprise awaits us.This time Loukia is preparing a different show from the ones we’ve been accustomed to, wherein the protagonists shall be colour and youthful designs. The emblematic composition “Chariots of Fire” of the recently deceased Vangelis Papathanassiou, a close friend of the designer, will clad the show musically, as a tribute to the marvellous work of the great Greek composer.
Sophia Kokosalaki, one of the biggest and most important chapters of Greek fashion, was a pioneer in the field, bringing to the fore a mixture of edgy luxury and timeless elegance. The legacy she left behind continues to inspire young and old designers across the globe, like all the works of great creators who dared to pave their own way. Michalis Pantos, a fashion expert with a vast experience of 30 years in the field of fashion, stood out from the beginning for his talent and unique personality. The paths of these two pivotal creators of Greek fashion intersected at the very beginning of their careers and today they meet again in the tribute curated by Michalis Pantos at Hautes Grecians 2022. On the runway, we will see clothes from Kokosalaki’s personal collections, along with creations from all over her journey - clothes from older collections and custom clothes she sewed for her clients. A small tribute to a great creator who left an indelible mark on the fashion world.
